Hi, I’m jamie!
Maybe you want to improve your athletic performance, stay motivated during long training cycles, or you’re coming back from injury and need a little more confidence. That’s where I come in. I can help with these, as well as numerous other scenarios!
My background is in Sport Psychology. I am also Certified as an Instructor in Mindfulness for Sport Performance Enhancement. I studied psychology during undergrad at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. I went on to earn my MA in Psychology from American University in Washington D.C. From there, I earned my PhD in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Sport Psychology. I have been practicing as a Sport Psychology Consultant/Mental Performance Consultant for about 10 years at varying levels and multiple sports, with individual athletes and teams. I am currently working toward my certification through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), which I hope to finish this year, or early in 2025.
When I am not consulting with athletes, I am an Associate Professor of Sport Psychology at Coastal Carolina University. Chants up! I also enjoy spending time with my husband, two kids, and our dog, Lucy. I played collegiate basketball and softball, but currently focus more on running and yoga.
I would love to work with you to help you attain your goals, whatever they may be! If you are unsure if working with a sport consultant is right for you, contact me for a free consultation! We can discuss more about what I do and what to expect.
